Hurricanes

NOAA’s climate prediction center is forecasting above-average activity for the June 1 to Nov. 30 Atlantic hurricane season. To prepare your organization to endure these potentially catastrophic events, it’s vital to review your exposures and take action if necessary.

Here are three simple steps you can take in advance of this hurricane season:

  1. Use the hurricane preparedness checklist to develop an action plan to minimize the potential impacts to your organization.
  2. Review and share federal emergency management resources with those who live and work in areas that could be affected.
  3. Reach out and engage with the relevant emergency management agencies for your location(s) of operation.

Contact your CNA Risk Control representative if you have any questions about these tools or need help preparing your organization for the threat of a hurricane.
