Information Technology
The Information Technology Internship Program provides hands-on experience in the areas of information risk management and security, application development, infrastructure delivery, business analysis, and program and project management. As an Information Technology intern, you will focus on individual work assignments along with team exercises that enhance your technical knowledge and improve your problem-solving ability and business skills. A group presentation to the leadership team will cap the experience.
Program Description The program focuses on helping you gain a comprehensive understanding of the insurance industry and insight into the variety of Information Technology career tracks available within insurance. You can expect:
Challenging, innovative assignments and real-world experience in applying business education to short-term projects.
A dedicated manager and a committed mentor who will guide you throughout your prospective internship and career entry point at CNA.
The chance to shadow professionals in a variety of Information Technology disciplines and to partner with members of the business.
Networking events with peers and members of our management team.
Presentation of your summer project results to our Information Technology senior leadership team and the opportunity to gain insightful feedback regarding your achievements.
Consideration for potential full time placement upon graduation based upon successful completion of the internship program.

Ability to travel to and from CNA’s downtown office location.
Must be a sophomore, junior or senior undergraduate, or in the first year of a master’s program pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, Management Information Systems or any other related major.
GPA of 3.0 or greater.
Interest in the insurance industry.
Some previous work experience preferred.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
