Information Technology Rotational Program

CNA’s Information Technology Rotational Program is a two- year program that offers a rewarding career path for individuals interested in working for a company that provides hands-on experience and cross-functional opportunities. Rotational opportunities include but are not limited to business analysis, project management, information security, architecture, service management and business process re-engineering.

Program Description

The program provides challenging, innovative assignments that provide real-world experience in applying IT and business education. You can expect:
  

  • In-depth education on our organization, the insurance industry and how IT assists insurance companies with making money
      
  • A dedicated manager and a mentor who will guide you throughout your trainee program and career entry point at CNA
      
  • Opportunities to meet with members of our senior leadership team and learn about their personal experiences in IT within the insurance industry
      
  • Professional and personal development activities and ongoing feedback and coaching on performance
      

Knowledge and Skills Requirements
  

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Information Technology or business-related field
      
  • A minimum 3.25 GPA (overall and major)
      
  • Superior technology skills
      
  • Strong organization and project management skills
      
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
      
  • Effective problem solving and analytical aptitude
      
  • Demonstrated leadership ability
      
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite of products
      
  • Interest in the insurance industry
      
  • Relevant work experience is preferred
      
  • Bilingual skills desired
      
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
      

Required Technical Competencies
 

  • Application Knowledge: Ability to anticipate issues and challenges affecting enterprise applications and recommend changes to address programs, databases and application design
      
  • Process Modeling: Ability to identify and align business processes and procedures to create business improvement
      
  • Requirements Development: Ability to proactively identify, resolve and drive improvements resulting in positive end user experience
      
  • User Experience: Ability to identify, create and promote improvements throughout the development of project life cycle
      

Trainee Program Location 

CNA corporate headquarters is located in the heart of downtown Chicago at 333 S. Wabash Ave, just one block west of Michigan Avenue.
