Larry is responsible for pricing, reserving and related actuarial activities for all CNA businesses. As chief actuary, Larry leads the organization's actuarial function, which includes property and casualty pricing and reserve analysis, predictive modeling and data quality as well as support for other corporate functions.
Before joining CNA in 2008, Larry had actuarial responsibility for Travelers' $7 billion business portfolio, including Middle Market Commercial Accounts, Construction, Technology, Public Sector, Excess Casualty, Global Accounts, Large Property, Marine and Oil & Gas.
Larry holds a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from Birmingham-Southern University and a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Purdue University – Indianapolis. He is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries.
