Scott Lindquist

Scott Lindquist is Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for all aspects of CNA’s global finance organization, including accounting and reporting, finance operations, financial planning and analysis, capital management, investments and treasury operations, investor and rating agency relations, and corporate tax. In addition, the Chief Actuary reports to Scott, while he has strategic oversight over CNA’s Life & Group segment and administrative oversight over internal audit.

Prior to joining CNA in 2022, Scott served as Chief Financial Officer at Farmers Group Inc. for over 13 years with responsibility for all finance, actuarial, real estate, procurement and runoff operations of the Farmers Insurance Group of Companies.  Prior roles include Controller of Genworth Financial during its emergence as a newly public company as a result of its 2005 spin-off from the General Electric Company. He also was with PwC for over 14 years, most recently as an audit partner in its national insurance practice.

Scott earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Connecticut.

Scott has served on several boards, including Chair of Farmers Insurance Group Federal Credit Union, Vice Chair of the California Business Roundtable and board member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley.
