
Doug Worman is the President and Chief Executive Officer at CNA Financial Corporation (CNA), one of the largest U.S. commercial property and casualty insurers providing comprehensive and specialized insurance solutions to over one million businesses and professionals.
The company was founded in 1897 and is listed on the New York Stock Exchange, with a market capitalization of $13 billion. With a meaningful presence in North America, the U.K. and Europe, CNA generates over $10 billion in annual net written premium, backed by nearly $13 billion of total capital and $11 billion statutory surplus.

In his prior role at CNA, Doug served as Executive Vice President & Global Head of Underwriting, in which he led the strategy and underwriting direction of CNA’s Property & Casualty operations worldwide. His responsibilities also included oversight of critical functions such as field operations, reinsurance, sales, distribution, and marketing.
With more than 30 years of management experience, Doug is widely recognized as an insurance industry leader. Prior to his tenure at CNA, Doug was the CEO of Endurance U.S. Insurance, where he oversaw a broad range of professional, casualty, property and specialty lines offered through the company's extensive producer network.
Doug also previously held the position of Executive Vice President at Alterra Capital Holdings and other senior positions within Stone Point Capital Portfolio companies.
Doug began his career at AIG, where he held several executive positions over 18 years including the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of AIG Excess Casualty Group, formerly known as American Home Assurance Company.
He is an active member of the Flatirons Society at the University of Colorado and the Penn State Nittany Lion Club and serves on the board of Maurice Greenberg School of Risk Management.
