Grayson is accountable for the success of the Southeast Region, which includes 11 States and 11 Branches. He also leads 19 Risk Control Consultants and a Rick Control Director with 12 direct reports for a total professional staff of 32. His team is responsible for determining risk acceptability for underwriting purposes and assisting in growth, retention, and profitability plans. Grayson is also responsible for ensuring the quality, technical expertise, productivity, and efficiency of the department.
Prior to joining CNA in 2003, Grayson served as the Managing Director for GE Global Asset Protection Services, where he was accountable for financial targets, industry group business plans, new opportunities, and the
development, approval, and negotiation of client contracts, including scope of work, pricing, and profitability. He also led a team of 7 Principal Consultants and 2 Associate Directors. Prior to this, he served as the AVP – Area Loss
Prevention for Industrial Risk Insurers, where he lead the loss prevention activities of the account teams and field operations for the Southern Region, which included the Charlotte, Atlanta, and Dallas Offices, and 45 technical,
managerial, and support personnel.
Grayson holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Virginia Tech. He also holds the Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS), Associate in General Insurance (AINS), and UL Recognized Risk Engineer (RRE) designations. He is a Member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), The Society of Fire Protection Engineers (SFPE), and the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers (IISE). Grayson also holds the Six Sigma Green Belt and LEAN Green Belt Certificates from IISE.
