Raising the Bar with Deep Manufacturing Expertise
Demonstrating our commitment to the manufacturing industry, CNA is proud to recognize a new cohort of more than 80 professionals who will earn the Manufacturing Risk and Insurance Specialist (MRIS) certification from the International Risk Management Institute (IRMI) early next year.
By the end of January 2026, more than 120 CNA employees will carry the MRIS certification, spanning our Underwriting, Risk Control, Claims, Middle Market, Technology, Life Sciences, International and Small Business teams.
Why the MRIS Designation Matters
Earning the MRIS certification signifies a deep understanding of unique manufacturing risks and expertise in helping to design insurance programs that address them. This knowledge translates into better risk management strategies and tailored insurance solutions, ultimately benefiting manufacturers by providing them with the most relevant and effective coverage.
The MRIS core curriculum prepares designees in casualty, products liability and recall, property and business interruption, equipment breakdown, inland marine, and pollution insurance, all customized to the unique and complex exposures of manufacturing.
