CNA Appoints New Business Development Leader For Los Angeles

CHICAGO, Jan. 28, 2015 -- CNA Financial Corporation (NYSE: CNA) today announced the appointment of Chris Middleton to business development leader in Los Angeles, effective January 5, 2015. In this role, Chris is responsible for leading the execution of Distribution Management and Sales initiatives, while playing a critical role in driving distribution plans and profitable pipelines in alignment with CNA customer segments.

"Chris' extensive experience in the insurance industry, proven leadership skills and strong relationships in the Los Angeles area will be critical in helping our team achieve its marketplace goals," said Riki Nieman, Los Angeles Branch vice president.

Chris brings more than 14 years of experience to his new role, including several years of business development with CompWest. In his previous role, Chris was responsible for extending the CompWest distribution model, increasing retention and creating new business flow.

Chris holds a bachelor of arts in speech communication from Sam Houston State University. He also has a Certified Authority on Workers' Compensation (CAWC) designation and holds a P&C license.
