Peter is responsible for CNA's portfolio of specialty business, including Medical and Non-medical Professional Liability, Directors & Officers Liability, Errors & Omissions, Warranty and Excess & Surplus. He also has responsibility for CNA's global affiliates in Europe, Canada, Argentina and Hawaii. Peter is a member of an internal senior working group, the Operating Committee, which has primary responsibility for putting CNA strategies into practice across the enterprise.

He joined CNA in 1992 and has held positions of increasing responsibility in CNA's Specialty businesses. He assumed his current position in 2009. Prior to joining CNA, Peter spent 10 years with AIG, managing its commercial Directors & Officers portfolio.

Peter is a member and former president of the Board of Trustees, Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS) Foundation.

Peter received his bachelor's degree in economics from Syracuse University and attended the Advanced Executive Program.
