Steve joined CNA in 2001 and assumed increasing responsibility in the Field; most recently serving as President, Field Operations West. In that role, he developed strong relationships with west coast agents and led the branches in the execution of CNA's underwriting, distribution and profitable growth strategies. He assumed his current position in 2009.

Prior to joining CNA, Steve was senior vice president, Commercial Accounts Division, for Reliance Insurance. He began his career with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies as a surety underwriter and moved on to manage several branch offices as well as Chubb's western zone.

He is a board member of the City of Hope Insurance Council, Make-A-Wish Foundation and Insurance Brokers and Agents of the West. Steve received his bachelor's degree from Kenyon College.
