CAC is a stock life insurance company which was organized under the Illinois Insurance Code in 1911, and has been an investment adviser registered under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940 since 1966.

Marilou R. McGirr is the portfolio manager for CAC Separate Account (B) (the "Account") and has been since September 1, 2002. Previously, Ms. McGirr was the chairperson of the Account´s Committee and co-leader of the Investments Area for CNA. Her other responsibilities include managing CNA´s short-term fixed income trading and CNA's securities operations function. Ms. McGirr began her career with CNA in 1974 and spent six years in CNA's Investment Department as a fixed income trader. She returned to CNA in 1991 as the trader for all of CNA´s fixed income assets. In addition, Ms. McGirr also acted as associate portfolio manager for the Account from 1991 to September 2002.

Ms. McGirr holds a BBA degree in Business Administration from Loyola University as well as an MBA in Finance from Dominican University in Illinois.
